Education in Croatia

roatian education is for the most part government sponsored, meaning that all primary and secondary schooling if free. In some cases if a student does well enough at secondary school their higher education will be free as well.

For students thinking of maybe studying abroad Croatia does boast educational opportunities. For further education the country has thirty two polytechnic schools and seven universities, which are all based in the larger cities such as Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, Zadar, Pula, Durbrovnik and Osijek. The universities each specialise in a particular area of learning from Natural Sciences to Engineering.

In addition there are a number of institutes, most notably the Ruđer Bošković Institute and the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
